Part One
Reflect on your team's Final Research Video Project Planning. How did you collaborate? What tools did you use to communicate and produce? Is the process smooth, what will you do differently next time in large collaborative projects?
Because we are working remotely and maintain different schedules, live collaboration is difficult. We thought about this so we determined the best way forward would be to split the video up into significant sections and assign each section to a team member. We are doing a written portion to make sure we are on the same page with the content. Doing a quick review then we will all record/edit our sections and combine them together at the end.
I think it will be a bit more work than necessary. We could phone it in and just create some slides and have someone record over the slides. But, we want to at least try and make something somewhat entertaining.
Is this process smooth? Helllll no but, our team works well together and everyone has a great attitude which makes the bumpy bits manageable.
Part Two
Please reflect on the Lecture readings in this section and what you have learned from this week's activities.
Review ted.com video reflections
My Ted.com video was Reed Hasting's video about Netflix's success (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9w0PL2_-oAE&t=2798s)
It was insightful to understand what workplace culture could look like at the larger Tech companies.
Presentation skills reading/video
It's clear that the final video presentation should not be boring. It should capture the viewer's attention. Whoever is reviewing these videos will need to watch dozens of these on topics they may understand better than we do so we are going to do our best to not be monotone.
