This week our assignment was simply creating an algorithm that calculates a sum. Nothing crazy when it comes to programming relative to what we have already done.

However, I was excited to learn about the techniques when it comes to designing an algorithm. Previously I tended to default to brute force technique and sometimes create a more efficient algorithm given enough time by just running purely off vibes.

The programming I have done has taught me that looping less tends to be better. But, I am excited to learn more about how to go about reasoning a novel algorithm to a new problem with a more methodical approach!

This slide alone is already very insightful and the video the professor provided more insight. But, It's already been two weeks since I've watched the video so I can't quite recall what was in it. I probably should re-watch it.
